About Iyengar Yoga

I teach yoga according to the Iyengar Yoga Tradition.  Iyengar yoga is a form of Hatha Yoga that emphasizes alignment, precision, and strength.  That means Precision, Alignment and Strength are the focus of my teaching. In Iyengar yoga, there is a strong emphasis on sequencing of asanas to warm up body and mind and progressively increase for more demanding yoga asanas from beginning to end.  Sequencing allows for a compact, rounded, complete practice that works the whole being.

Iyengar yoga is particularly suitable for beginners as they learn the foundations of yoga, how to practice safely, and gradually built confidence for advancement in their practice as well as to practice any style of yoga.

When we practice yoga with a Certified Iyengar yoga teacher you can be sure you are practising with a highly trained teacher as the Iyengar yoga teaching training is the most comprehensive training a teacher can undergo.

What to expect from a class:

Every class starts with 10″ mindfulness meditation so you can shift from the outside to the internal world.

If you need support due to injuries or a illness you will be guided as I am highly experienced and trained to deal with a range of medical conditions and injuries.  I am particularly experienced in dealing with issues related to the Hip Joint and also with Mental Conditions such as Anxiety and Depression and the Emotional overload from Cancer (patients and supporters).

Are you a total beginners or feel intimidated to join a class?  I offer Private classes to help you to feel confident and join the group classes or simply to address a specific issue like a injury or a home practice.

Private classes
